About the role 

In this role, you will apply your expertise across a set of interesting customers, diverse sectors and complex challenges, on both major transformations (typically 6-18 months) and smaller-scope engagements. Your daily responsibilities as a  Senior Software Engineer will be:  

  • Offering technical insights to the team.  
  • Contributing to architectural and technological decisions throughout project delivery.  
  • Mentoring team members daily, fostering growth and knowledge expansion.  
  • Encouraging team empowerment and innovation in problem-solving.  
  • Actively participating in code reviews and to maintain code quality.  
  • Actively participating in agile ceremonies.  
  • Identifying, reviewing, and mitigating technical risks, issues, and impediments.  
  • Providing technical feedback and reviews to the team.  
  • Addressing technology-related impediments to development.  


Required Skills and Experience  

The following skills/experience are necessary:  

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with proficiency in MS SQL Server, C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET MVC.  
  • Software development experience in VB6 
  • Excellent knowledge of VB6 and SQL Server 
  • Strong back-end development experience using C#, with hands-on knowledge of building and maintaining APIs, services, and applications.  
  • Experience with front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as AngularJS and Vue.js (v2) as a plus.  
  • Practical experience with Entity Framework Core and Entity Framework 6, including LINQ to SQL for efficient database access and querying.  
  • Proven experience in building REST APIs using ASP.NET Web API.  
  • Knowledge of building and managing Windows Services.  
  • Proficient in using Git for version control and collaborative software development.  
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and work effectively within a team.  
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills to handle multiple tasks and deliver results under pressure.  
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative, challenge existing processes, and deliver innovative solutions.  


The following skills/qualifications are advantageous:  

  • Experience with IIS (Internet Information Services) for hosting and managing web applications.  
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for continuous integration, delivery, and project management.  
  • Knowledge of the postal industry, particularly standards such as ITMATT, EMSEVT, etc.  
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and experience with message-driven architecture using RabbitMQ and Mass Transit.  
  • Knowledge of YAML for configuration management and DevOps pipelines.
